The quality of our service is very important to us and we understand that your health is important to you.

Here are some of the ways we maintain our high standards:

Professionals:

All our scans are performed by fully qualified experienced sonographers who are all registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). HCPC are a regulator, and were set up to protect the public. To do this, they keep a register of health professionals who meet the HCPC standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission.

Staff Security:

Procedures & Protocols:

We have stringent protocols and procedures to ensure delivery to the highest standards of care.

Clinical protocols are in place to ensure the safety of the patient and standardisation of care. Clinical Governance procedures such as risk assessment, mandatory training of staff and incident reporting are vital to guarantee a first class professional service.

All staff undergo Information Governance training and strict procedure are in place to manage personal data. We have stringent Health and Safety policies, we use the expertise of an eternal Health and Safety adviser.

Up-to-date Equipment:

All our equipment is the latest in portable ultrasound scanners manufactured by GE.

The equipment undergoes weekly safety checks which are performed by the Sonographer. The ultrasound machines are also covered with a full maintenance and servicing contract ensuring we can maintain a high quality service to our customers.

We are committed to auditing our work and surveying users of the service. If you are a user of the service please contact us with your feedback!

  • Ongoing clinical audit projects
  • Depending on contract type between 10-15% of examinations are second reported by Consultant Radiologist
  • Ongoing waiting times audit
  • Did not attend (DNA) rate audit
  • Peer review of report writing
  • Quarterly patient satisfaction questionnaires
  • Bi-annual referrer satisfaction questionnaires

Further Diagnostics:

We have a team of 2 Consultant Radiologists (Doctors who specialise in diagnostic imaging) who are available to review cases when a second opinion is required or advice is needed on further investigations.

Our Radiologists are also involved in our audit work by second reporting a proportion of examinations performed.
